Comfort Markwei

🗳 POLITICAL CAMPAIGN

DESCRIPTION

Comfort Markwei is a current freshman at Duke who ran for President of the Wannamaker Quad. Her logo intersects the pink of Wannamaker's quad colors with a darkened shade of Duke blue. I created her message to be strong and reliant, while the star in the center reflects both her brilliance and pays homage to her Ghanian heritage.

Dominic Kang

Dominic Kang is a current freshman at Duke who ran for President of the Edens Quad. As someone who currently lives on his floor, I have firsthand witnessed his reputation as our dorm building's resident funny man. I wanted to convey this aspect of his personality in his campaign logo, as someone fun, chill, and relatable, but still able to get the job done.

DESCRIPTION

Aubteen Pour-Biazar is a current freshman at Duke who ran for President of the Few Quad. He currently serves as Vice President of our freshman class, introducing new town-hall-like events called "Pizza Chats", where he meets with first-year residents to discuss campus life and possible improvements. I wanted to convey communicate strength, modernity, and of course - his extensive electoral experience and success.

Hadi Chaudri is a current freshman at Duke who ran for President of the Craven Quad. Outside of electoral life, he is a brilliant engineering student who remains popular among both his peers and co-residents. I wanted to convey both his intelligence and motivation, but also his reliability, strength, and tradition.

Beyond the Times

🎭 ARTS ORGANIZATION

DESCRIPTION

Beyond the Times is a virtual performing arts organization where classical student musicians from around the world showcase their performances in a virtual setting that can be displayed to any audience. The organization was created combat the lack of live performances during the COVID-19 and bring the joy of music education and performance through the screen. As such, the message i wanted to convey was that music is infinitely timeless and powerful, and that it will unite us regardless of any social distance.

Ingenify

👩‍🏫 TUTORING PLATFORM

DESCRIPTION

Ingenify is a local, nonprofit tutoring platform, founded by 5 high school students. The logo intersects the company's initial with a lightbulb, symbolizing the integration of their name with education and knowledge. Their tutors are oustanding, so the blue and grey color schemes are designed to communicate trustworthiness and inspiration. Featured on the Atlanta-Journal Constitution and Times Square (as part of the #ShoutoutatTimesSquare series)

Point of View

🎙 PODCAST

DESCRIPTION

Point of View is the resident podcast at Northview High School, launched in 2021 by Meredith Evans, my journalism adviser. Founded as a class, the podcast's branding communicates youthfulness, student-based, and vibrant. The logo, in the upper left, consists of a microphone with a comic bubble surrounded by Northview's logo of a lightning bolt. The banner, in the lower left, is a background for Facebook and Twitter.
